Water and its general aspect:

Many astrologists and researchers have been searching life on different planets. Researches have been made to find life with water on Mars, Saturn, and other planets. However, there is only the planet in this universe having life and water is  'Earth.' Earth has its unique characteristics which has made it unique from other planets. Some important characteristics are: Earth is the only planet in which water is available in three forms. These three forms are solid, liquid and gas.

Water is a tranparent, colourless, odourless which forms seas, oceans, lakes, rivers and the fluids of most living organisms. Water is written in chemical formula as  H2O.  This chemical formula shows that it contains one oxygen and two hydrogen atoms.

Water is an essential requirement for every kind of living organism on this earth. Water is so important for our body without which we cannot live. Water is the most abundantly available on our planet. About 75% of our earth is covered in water. That's why our earth is called as a watery place.

Not only water is available in the form of oceans or rivers, it also exists in the air as water vapour, lakes, glaciers and icecaps and even in our body and all animals. It is surprise to know that water never sits, it always moves from one place to another and from one form to another which is well known as 'Water Cycle.'

Water is among the best solvents and is the medium of life. It is unique in many physico-chemicals ways. In all living organisms, every cell contains water and the process of different reactions takes place in the medium of water. As we know, the digestive systems take place in our body through the medium of water. Food and nutrients move from one cell to another cell with the help of water in our body. On the other side, all plants and green trees use energy from sunlight to produce glucose from water and carbon-dioxide. So the water is the raw material in the manufacture of carbohydrates through photosynthesis. Most of the animals are dependent on food prepared in the body of green plants. Thus, in all aspect of life, all living things take in or use water through different ways. Even we eat, drink and breathe is water.  We breathe in air which contains oxygen. Air becomes oxygenated by the breakdown of water during the process of photosynthesis.

Water is considered to be an essential resource for agriculture, industrial, recreational and environmental activities.

The vast majority of water on the earth's surface is saline water (the water which contains salt). If we talk about saline water, we talk about the oceans. The water that comes from skies and moving into the streams, lakes, rivers and ground water provide freshwater to people that they need everyday.

You may be surprised to know that the underground water is more fresh than the water in liquid form on the surface. Perhaps, you have seen the flowing water in the rivers, in fact some of the water comes from underground into the riverbeds.

Most of the water available on earth's surface are used by people, animals and plants. Streams and lakes are the most optical part of the water cycle. They are the great places where people go there to have fun and for relaxation. Fresh water represents about 3 % of all water on earth and about 0.29 % is for lakes and streams fresh water.
Governments and engineers have built systems in order to store water and use it when they need it or when the supply of water is not sufficient for people.

Use of Deodorants pose threats to humanity and environment

Have you ever known about effects and harmful results of using deodorants in our daily life?

One day I was sitting in front of a laptop and just studying, during searches I came across a sentence 'Using deodorants with cholorofluorocarbon gas may bring end of world. ' I was shocked to know about this fact. I know almost all of us from all over the world use deodorants for beautiful smell or to look attractive. Deodorants are used in order to overcome bad smell or body odour caused by bacterial growth . Cholorfluorocarbon gases are contained in most deodorants and are released by some factories into the air. This kind of gas causes the ozone layer to become thinner and thinner and I am afraid, this will finally diappear in patches.

Don't you know how important the ozone layer is for us and for our beloved Earth? Ozone layer protects us from the harmful ultraviolet radiation that comes from Sun. Ozone layer is the deep layer in the second major layer of Earth's atmosphere (stratosphere) that absorbs much of the Sun's UV layers.

But I doubt, most of the people are unaware of this fact. People especially teenagers are found happy to use deodorants without leaving home.

Lets talk about the kinds of deodorants. We often found deodorants in two forms in markets i.e, spray and roll on. Antiperspirants are also the kind of deodorants but the difference between them two is that Antiperspirant is used to remove the sweating effect and deodorant is for eliminating the
sweating odour. Since the evolution of this product, it has become the essential part of the cosmetic needs especially in the age range between 13 - 20. According to a research, children start using sprays at the age of 11.

I am writing this article to just want you all to know the real fact is that the we see the good side of this fragrance but behind this scent, the dark side is left neglected. Besides cholorofluorocarbon, there are many other kinds of chemicals contained in deodorants. Triclosan, parabens, aluminium aerosol and formaldehyde are the harmful chemicals that are found in this product.

This new product is not only harmful to our environment but also to our precious thing that is HEALTH.  Remember that environment is all about us that is human beings and animals.
Some of the causes of this deodrants to our health are as follows:

1: Breast Cancer:
In reference to the research studies, using fragrance to our arms may cause to breast cancer. A human body is made of a permeable membrane. Our skin absorbs quickly whatever we apply on our body. Some studies found that more 50% of women had breast cancer due to the use of this product. Although most people do not accept this since there was no any exact track of comparing the amount of paraben present in normal women and the women with breast cancer and also there was no specific evidence that deodorants do not cause breast cancer.

2: Severe disease like Alzheimers:
It is surprise to know that the excessive use of this deodorant may cause the severe disease Alzhemeirs which may result into death. The other hazardous disease is renal dysfunction which is also cause from this product.

According to an author 'MITALI  PANDEY',

'Scientists are beginning to link Antiperspirant to Alzheimers diseases.'

3: Health issues caused by Aluminium, Formaldehyde, Mineral Oil:
The element which is used in manufacturing Antiperspirants and deodorants is Aluminium. The process employed by Antiperspirant is dangerous and vulnerable to humanity and environment. As I have mentioned above that Antiperspirant is used to eliminate the seating effects, so this chemical involved in its manufacturing doubles up the damage. Aluminium is a well known water pollutant. It damages the aquatic life and the ecosystem.  Similarly, Formaldehyde is found to be the element in manufacturing the deodorants. During manufacturing, this chemical is used for the formation of smoke which is obviously hazardous to us, animals and the environment.
Mineral oil is often found in deodorants and other skin care products like lipstick. This element causes air pollution and water pollution when aluminium gets to mix with air and water as mineral oil has properties to emit carbon which is a subsequent harmful pollutants.

How it pose threat to Environment:
The most important drawback of the deodorants is that the deodorant cans packaging cannot be recycled. I think this is the most transparent cause which is still unnoticed. The deodorants do not come in cardboard box and they are not refillable. Hence it also proofs that deodorants do harm to our environment.

As, I have mentioned above the ozone layer and how it gets thinner day by day due to the excessive use of this new products by millions of people. Hence it is true that deodorants pose threat to our environment in that way too.

In Short:

Hence by reading all this important information, I personally decided to quit using this harmful product for the sake of my own health and my family. Honestly speaking, if we join together to save our environment by taking some precautions and by keeping our environment clean, I believe that that our earth will have long health life.
